Resident Evil

Capcom has released three new gameplay videos from the upcoming survival-horror game Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

Continuing the build-up for the game’s January release, the three gameplay videos five us the best look at the title yet. With over 9 minutes of the game shown, we think it’s safe to say the Resident Evil 7 is going to be the scariest title in the series. Within the clips are the terror-inducing Baker family, including both Jack Baker and the creepy Aunt Rhody that we saw in the previously released “volumes.” These videos make me even more excited to get my hands on the final game, as it looks absolutely terrifying. There’s just something about a man chasing your through a decrepit house with a shovel.

In a post-PT world, it’s interesting to see the similarities between the two games (or the one game and the one demo for a game that will never be made, to be more accurate). Smaller, narrow hallways. A focus on selling the unsettling vibe over delivering a monster?although there are plenty of monsters as well.
