You may have completely forgotten about Rockstar’s espionage title Agent, but it appears that Take-Two hasn’t given up hope on it just yet as it recently renewed two trademarks for the game.

Sony announced back in 2007 that Rockstar was working on a new franchise exclusively for PlayStation 3. It wasn’t until E3 2009 that we finally learnt that this title was called Agent, but since then things have been very quiet–bar a few comments and leaked screenshots.

“Agent takes players on a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s,” read the game’s official description.

Take-Two filed two trademarks for the title on July 18 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Both were filed under “computer and video game programs and software,” and one of them is for the game’s logo, which appears to be unchanged: “The mark consists of the word “AGENT” with the shape of a handgun comprising the internal section of the letter “G”.”
