Following yesterday’s news that Tales of Symphonia Chronicles would arrive in Europe February 28, Namco Bandai announced via Twitter that Chronicles will make it to North America a few days sooner, on February 25.
Chronicles is a compilation of Tales of Symphonia, which originally released on GameCube summer 2004 and was ported to PS2 in Japan later that same year, and its Wii-exclusive sequel, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. The standard edition will be priced $39.99 (according to Amazon—this is not confirmed by Namco Bandai officially).
What is confirmed, however, is the $99.99 limited run collector’s edition, which comes with the two games, special packaging illustrated by animation studio Ufotable (the studio behind the anime cutscenes in Tales of Xillia), a paperback novel that bridges the events between Symphonia and Dawn of the New World, a multi-disc soundtrack, and “Chibi Kyun Chara” figures of five characters.
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive.
