THE BUZZ: Team17 has announced Worms Revolution, an entirely new game in the Worms franchise.

The game is being developed from the ground up using a brand new engine, and promises exciting new features while retaining the things that fans love about the series.

Worms Revolution will release for PC, XBLA and PSN sometime in Q3 of 2012.

EGM’s TAKE: A new Worms game! Considering the number of remakes that Team17 has released over the last few years the franchise desperately needed a makeover. Now they have delivered. The new engine looks like a big improvement based on this first trailer. We can’t wait to drop Water Bombs on our friends later this year.
