A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is on it way, Activision announced this morning.
While the Danger of the Ooze subtitle may conjure up memories of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secrets of the Ooze for fellow children of the ’80s such as myself, this new game is geared more towards the modern generation of Turtles fans, designed to bridge the gap between the second and third seasons of the current Nickelodeon cartoon.
With a pair of horrible Turtles-branded games released last year, Activision has placed Danger of the Ooze in more capable hands this time around. WayForward Technologies (Double Dragon: Neon, DuckTales: Remastered) is spearheading development, and they’re wisely taking the Turtles back to their 2D side-scrolling roots.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze will be available sometime this fall for Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo 3DS.
