Ten Demonic Denizens of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls’ Westmarch Detailed

Posted on November 5, 2013 AT 10:29am

A new post on the official Diablo III blog details 10 of the demonic creatures players will face in the upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion.

According to the post, the “once beautiful, thriving city” of Westmarch is now policed by dark entities such as the Death Maiden and the Executioner, the latter once the most reviled criminals in Westmarch before Malthael transformed them using the Black Soulstone into twisted, monstrous forms meant to reflect their nature as “heartless murderers who had butchered countless men, women, and children.”

The city also houses Exorcist, who were once spiritual warriors that specialized in removing demonic possession; Ghastly Seraph, a “mass of bloated flesh”; the Revenant Soldier, Archer, and Shield Guard—the last of which were former members of King Justinian IV’s personal guard before being perverted by Malthael; the Shadow of Death; the Summoner of the Dead, and last but not least, the magically transformed once-dogs of Westmarch, the War Beast.

Bestiary entries for all ten demons can be found on the Reaper of Souls blog post.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls launches on Windows PC, Mac OS X, and PS4 sometime 2014.
