TERA Going Free-to-Play Next Month

South Korean fantasy MMO TERA is going free-to-play next month, publisher GameForge has announced.

The MMO has been subscription-based for nine months since it launched–the official switch over will occur in February. Players who have already paid for TERA will be granted Veteran status following the switch which allows eight character slots instead of two, four bank tabs instead of one, and a special in-game title.

Players with active subscriptions at the time of the switch will become members of the TERA Club for the remainder of their subscription–after it has ended you will become a Veteran player. Members of the club will be granted various bonuses and boosts in-game.

Free-to-Play also means new content for players–a new three versus three arena, new bosses, dungeons, and raids.
