Earlier this month, we heard hints that Geralt of Rivia might be venturing into a different game series, and now we’ve received another clue as to what game that might be.
Our first hint came from Marcin Momot, CD Projekt Red’s community manager, who posted a speculative comment about Geralt making “an appearance in one of the upcoming games later this year.”

Now, the official Witcher account on Twitter has given us another clue.
Kaer Morhen’s old stones have witnessed many battles… Once more they’ll feel the sting of sparks as blades collide… Check back tomorrow.

While the company has yet to officially reveal which game series is getting the crossover, we have a pretty good idea, and the second hint given out today may be another point in its favor: Soulcalibur VI. The fighting game is set to come out later this year, and is no stranger to having crossover stars from other game series. Both games also have ties to Bandai Namco Entertainment. Furthermore, the most recent hint, with its mention of blades colliding, certainly sounds like the setup for a fighting game.
CD Projekt Red has promised to release more information via its Twitter account tomorrow, so stay tuned for an update.
Soulcalibur VI is set to release in 2018 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
