PlayStation 4

Soon, it will finally possible to buy a 1TB PlayStation 4 slim in the United States.

As unveiled by PlayStation on Twitter, the latest model of PS4 should arrive on store shelves by the end of the month. It costs only $299.99, which means that the system is effectively getting a price drop—before, it cost $299.99 just to get the 500GB model.

Because the prices are the same, it could be that Sony intends to make the 1TB version of the console the default model. Such a decision could also help simplify the console line worldwide, since Europe has had the 1TB model since September 2016.

If you’re searching for more power, the PS4 Pro also has a 1TB model. It’s a bit more costly, however, with a standard retail price of $399.99.
