Mass Effect

We’re lucky that Shepard took down the Reapers, as it appears that Amazon’s Echo devices are part Geth.

People love asking artificial intelligence questions to try to stump them. In doing so, the masses have found a Mass Effect Easter egg tucked away within the binary brain of the Amazon Echo. When the device is asked “Does this unit have a soul?” the dot will reply “Kellah se’lai, my friend.”

This phrase is used often by the Quarian race within Mass Effect, and means, “By the home world I hope to see one day.” It’s often used in situations similarly to “Peace be with you,” with this direct call and response being used in a very emotional moment during Mass Effect 3. Feel free to watch that moment below. Spoilers.

In other news, Mass Effect: Andromeda has a release date of March 21st for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
