The Bard’s Take IV launches September 18th, 2018 for PC, developer InXile Entertainment has announced.

The upcoming fantasy role-playing game is also in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a release scheduled for later this year.

To celebrate the release date announcement, the developer has shared a new video that goes over how the team brought the box art from the first The Bard’s Tale to life. Watch it below:

For fans who can’t wait until September, a beta is now available to backers on PC that lets them play through the beginning of the story, experience the game’s core systems, and explore part of the world. Character creation and customization, combat, exploration, puzzle solving, and dungeon crawling are all on offer in the beta.

The Bard’s Tale IV was successfully Kickstarted in 2015, raising more than $1.5 million.
