The Binding of Isaac hits Steam, new launch trailer hits internet

THE BUZZ: The Binding of Isaac—the latest title from Edmund McMillen, one half of Team Meat—has launched today on Steam for both PC and Mac at quite a nice price: $5.
The game, created in conunction with Florian Himsl and Danny Baranowsky, is a sort of “random dungeon-crawling shooting Zelda Smash TV extravaganza.” (At least, that’s how I tried to describe it when I spoke to McMillen, and he pretty much agreed after a quick laugh.)
EGM’s TAKE: The Binding of Isaac looks to be a very cool mix of elements of the Rogue-like genre put together with exploration, arcade-style action and shooting, and that dash of humor and personality you’d expect from one of the people who brought you Super Meat Boy. You could probably do far, far worse for five dollars.
