THE BUZZ: The recently announced demo for The Darkness 2 is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The demo weighs in at 1.40GB and is available to all Xbox Live Gold subscribers, the official description reads:

“Become Jackie Estacado and master your demons as you experience the thrill of Quad-Wielding: slash, grab and throw with your Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons.”

EGM’s TAKE: The chance to wield the Darkness once more is too good an opportunity to pass up. How can you not like throwing cars at enemies while blasting through them with dual pistols? The addition of four player co-op should also add another dimension to the game and hopefully it won’t end up feeling tacked on. Based on what has been shown so far that shouldn’t be an issue. The demo will be available next Tuesday on PSN, Steam and for Xbox Live Silver members.
