The Darkness II pre-order bonuses announced

THE BUZZ: 2K Games today announced a selection of special bonuses for those who pre-order their upcoming title The Darkness II.

For pre-ordering the game from now until launch (February 7th, 2012) for any of its versions—Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or PC—you’ll get the following bonuses:

Alternate darkling outfit: “Crazy Abdul”
Two character ability upgrades: Gourmet Hearts (provides bonus for eating hearts) and Relic Hunter (locates collectible items in the world)

Free digital download of The Darkness Origins Volume 1 and Volume 2 comics

EGM’s TAKE: A selection of pre-order bonuses that won’t require you to purchase the game from three different retailers in order to get them all? I’m really glad to see that there’s still some sanity in this world.

Pre-order efforts like these—where you get bonus items simply for pre-ordering, not for where you pre-order—are what will entice people like me to pre-order games more often.
