The Destiny beta is officially over

Posted on July 28, 2014 AT 02:40am

10 days after it began on July 17, the Destiny beta test is now officially over, Bungie has confirmed.

The beta began on July 17 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 beta key owners, with Xbox 360 and Xbox One key owners invited to join the fray on June 23. Following this, Bungie opened up the beta to everyone on all four platforms.

Players who managed to log in at 2.p.m. PDT on July 26 got the chance to play one of the game’s moon missions and snagged an exclusive emblem to use in the retail version.

“Your mission in the Destiny Beta is complete. Your next adventure begins on September 9th, with the official launch of Destiny, the developer wrote on Twitter. “Bungie thanks you for playing. We made some great discoveries of our own, and we’ll use them to make Destiny a great game for all.”

Destiny is set to launch September 9 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
