During the most recent State of the Game, The Division 2 developer Massive Entertainment shared the first details about Title Update 5 and announced that it will be reopening the game’s Public Test Server on July 1st.
This latest round of testing will be for Title Update 5 and Episode 1 – D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions. Unlike previous PTS builds, the content from Episode 1 will be locked and unlocked on a set schedule so that specific content can be tested.
D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions will see players visiting the Manning National Zoo and the forests on the outskirts of D.C., and also introduces a new Expeditions system. While Title Update 5 will rework skills, add new weapons, and make changes to Exotics and Blueprints.
According to the developer, all skills are being reworked to make them more viable and bump skill builds up to match weapon-based builds. An example given is turret damage being buffed by 150 percent and being able to reduce skill cooldowns by up to 200 percent.
Other changes in the upcoming update include Heroic bosses dropping Exotics, a new Flashlight attachment being added, Exotics at Gear Score 500 always having max rolls, a gear upgrade for Cassie, and the addition of two new weapons: TU5–Carbine 7 assault rifle and Stoner LMG.
Finally, Massive is making it so Blueprints will now be shared across all sources, meaning that players will be able to grind Control Point Alert Levels 3 and 4 to get all Blueprints in the game.
The Division 2 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
