Ubisoft has pushed a new update live for The Division on all platforms that introduces a new feature called Shields.
This new feature introduces twelve unique collectibles that will reward players for completing various challenges. Earning a Shield will reward players with a Shield Cache that contains a selection of valuable items and currency bundles. In addition, acquiring multiple Shields will unlock exclusive rewards in The Division 2.
The following four Shields are available to earn now, with plans to add one new Shield each month:
- Shepherd – Unlock the Base of Operations.
- Hazard – Clear 25 landmarks in the Dark Zone.
- Deadeye – Complete all weekly HVT’s within a week.
- Avenger – Take out 10 named bosses in Manhattan, 10 in the Dark Zone and 10 in the West Side Piers area.
The update also adds 12 new patches to earn, legendary difficulty for the Madison Field Hospital and General Assembly missions, 12 new audio logs, and increases the Phoenix Credit limit.
