The Division players can now take part in the Blackout event to earn new vanity items and gear sets.
The event will be available until April 30th at 8 a.m. UTC and features a “Blackout” modifier that equips all players with Shock Ammo that stuns enemies. More information about the available modifiers can be found below:
- Blackout—Always active. Agents are equipped with Shock Ammo that stuns enemies. Shooting or running builds your Charge meter. The more Charge, the more damage you inflict.
- Extreme Blackout—Blackout behavior, plus you can instantly kill enemies with Overcharged melee attacks, but if you miss you will stun yourself and your allies.
- Total Blackout—Extreme Blackout behavior, plus your Charge meter will cool down faster when close to other group members.
During Blackout, players will be able to earn the DeadEye, D3-FNC, Striker’s Battlegear, and Tactician’s Authority Classified Gear Sets, as well as well as the Vulcan, Tao, and Rictus facemasks for completing Blackout-specific Commendations.
Finally, three new weapon skins and a new vanity outfit will be rewarded to players based on their performance on the tiered-Global Event Leaderboards.
Ubisoft recently unveiled Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. The sequel is being developed by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Bucharest, and will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine.
