The long asked for MMO version of Bethesda’s wildly popular open-world RPG series is coming to Windows PC and Mac April 4, 2014, Bethesda Softworks announced today.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of ESO will follow shortly after, launching sometime in June.

Like all Elder Scrolls games, ESO is on the continent of Tamriel, though some 1000 years prior to Skyrim and 800 years prior to Morrowind and Oblivion.

In addition to announcing the PC/Mac release date and next-gen console launch window, Bethesda also released a new trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online that focuses on the game’s PvP system, which allows hundreds of players to fight together in pursuit of the Ruby Throne.
