The Elder Scrolls Online‘s second expansion, Summerset, will see players return to the Summerset Isle for the first time since The Elder Scrolls: Arena.
“By the decree of Queen Ayrenn, Summerset Isle is now open to foreigners, but a Daedric threat looms over the breathtaking home of the High Elves,” the official description reads. “Travel to the Summerset Isle, reunite with old friends,
and unravel a shadowy conspiracy that threatens all of Tamriel.”
The expansion introduces a whole new zone to explore, a new main story quest line that concludes the narrative started in the base game, a new Jewelry Crafting Skill Line, and a new 12-player Trial called Cloudrest.
As well as all of the above, players will be able to join the mysterious Psijic Order for the first time in an Elder Scrolls game, explore their island home of Artaeum, and learn a brand-new Psijic Order combat Skill Line that grants control over time itself.
Finally, a Summerset prologue quest is available right now in The Elder Scrolls Online that tasks players with helping Vanus Galerion investigate a report of a mysterious prophecy. Players must pick up the Mage’s Message Stone for free from the in-game Crown Store and then use it to to receive an urgent message from Vanus.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset launches May 21st on PC, with a console release to follow on June 5th.
