THE BUZZ: Amazon has today revealed a few details regarding the collectors edition strategy guide for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

WHAT WE KNOW: As well as containing everything that is in the standard version of the guide the collectors edition will also include a digital interactive map of the world allowing you to search for locations. As well as this you will receive the “a gatefold map of Skyrim” and “bound-in ribbon” bookmarks that will allow you to keep track of what page in the guide you are on. The guide will cost $39.99 and will be available on November 11th.

The collectors edition will include;

- Free access to Prima’s digital Skyrim map tool (a $15 value!). Featuring interactive, fully-searchable maps of Skyrim and all major locations so you can instantly find what you’re looking for!

- Hardcover collector’s edition includes a gatefold map of Skyrim and bound-in ribbon bookmarks so you can always find your way through this massive tome!

- 100% Complete! Walkthroughs of every story and side quest help guide you through the deep storyline; we cover all the choices that affect your game! Plus: labeled maps, combat training, character customization tips, and much more!

EGM’s TAKE: I personally always pick up a strategy guide for games of this size especially Bethesda titles, mainly due to the amount of side quests that can be missed. The price is a little steep though for what the collectors edition has to offer I think I’ll be sticking to the standard version.
