THE BUZZ: Bethesda has released a new developer diary discussing the upcoming Skyrim Creation Kit.
Production Director, Ashley Cheng talks about the new features that will be made available via the Skyrim Workshop on Steam, allowing, “users to easily upload, download, and install their mods, making sharing custom content easier than ever before.” The Creation kit will be available as a free download via Steam in the near future.
EGM’s TAKE: A budding community of Skyrim modders has been steadily growing since launch and they have already produced some impressive work. Now they will have access to official tools allowing for even more outrageously ambitious and incredibly useful mods. The workshop integration let all mods to be stored in one place making it easier for players to find the best ones and easily install them, which should help creators garner a larger recognition for their work. We can’t wait to see what the community will do with these tools.
What’s your favorite Skyrim mod so far? What mods would you like to see created? Let us know in the comments below.
