Sony got together with Bethesda’s Pete Hines to deliver around 10 minutes of gameplay footage from The Evil Within. Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami is back in the saddle and is looking to deliver a classic survival horror title, the likes of which we haven’t seen for a good many years.

Unpredictability is the name of the game, with monsters never taking the same path twice to keep you on your toes. Some will even pretend to die just so they can get you. Monsters also have the ability to set traps for the player and a wrong move could see you taken down in one shot.

The Evil Within is due to release for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2014.
