Epic Games has brought back The Getaway to Fortnite for a limited time.
The limited-time mode made its debut last year and sees teams racing to acquire one of four jewels littered around the map. Teams must successfully defend the jewel and make it to one of four getaway vans to win.
Rifts, the Rift-to-Go, and launchpads have been removed in this mode, and 10 red “Pursuit” supply drops will land at the very beginning of the match that contain a variety of longer-range weapons, the Grappler, and other items.

The Getaway comes with its own set of challenges for players to complete. A couple of these are carried over from last time the event was live, but there are four new challenges to complete that will reward players with a new loading screen and three llama back blings.
Earlier this week, Epic Games released a new update for Fortnite that added The Baller vehicle and nerfed the Heavy Assault Rifle.
