The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Coming to PC, XBLA

Indie developer NeocoreGames today announced The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, an upcoming action RPG loosely based around Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
“Being located in Eastern Europe and having experience developing RPGs, Van Helsing is a natural fit for us; it’s a project where we can demonstrate our expertise in both domains and create something novel that RPG fans can appreciate,” said NeocoreGames lead writer Viktor Juhász in the game’s announcement. “We’ve always enjoyed crafting games from legendary tales, but with our own twist, and Van Helsing provides us the perfect game world to experiment with.”
For now, we’re left to only get a hint at what the game may be like from the production art that was released along with the reveal of Van Helsing. Well, that, and the quick details that were also given. The game will follow Van Helsing—the “son of a famed hunter”—and will be “a tale wrought with wry humor and snappy dialogue.”
I do have to say, I like the artwork that’s presented for the main character. It’s almost got a feel that seems to mix a traditional Western art style with more Asian-inspired elements.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is currently set for release on the Xbox Live Arcade and PC near the end of this year.
