The Inquisitor laments about a world tearing itself apart in a new trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition shown during today’s E3 2013 press conferences.

At the start of Inquisition, the Inquisitor, in attendance during a peace conference between the Chantry and rebel mages at the Temple of Sacred Ashes, manages to survive a Breach in the Fade. The Inquisitor emerges relatively unscathed, the sole survival, but carries with him or her Veil-imbued powers as a result of exposure. With these powers, the Inquisitor must gather allies and put a stop to the Breach’s threat—as well as the civil wars brewing across the lands.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launches across Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 October 7.
