According to NeoGAF user “Uncharted3Hacks,” information contained on God of War: Ascension discs for The Last of Us demo reveals major spoilers for Naughty Dog’s upcoming post-apocalyptic survival title.
“I decided to look inside the game files of God of War: Ascension for the TLOU demo countdown files, and I ended up finding it in the Naughty Dog engine,” Uncharted3Hacks posted. “This means there were some files left behind from the actual game that can reveal new things. These were mostly text and code files, with some image files.”
The information Uncharted3Hack stumbled upon contain spoilers for both the single-player and the multiplayer modes, including craft items, weapons, and spoiler-heavy cutscene titles (that have since been edited out of the NeoGAF post by a moderator).
It’s worth noting, however, that the build contained on God of War: Ascension is almost two months old (Ascension launched March 12, 2013), so some of that information may have changed in some capacity. But anything pertaining to the narrative is assuredly still relevant, and still very, very spoilery.
The Last of Us launches worldwide June 14 as a PS3 exclusive. The demo available to God of War: Ascension purchasers activates later this month.
