Naughty Dog has announced that the next, and final, DLC release for The Last of Us will include a new difficulty mode for the single-player campaign and additional multiplayer maps.
“There’s more to come. Our final drop in the Season Pass is coming,” community specialist Eric Monacelli wrote in a recent blog post. ”It is chock full of multiplayer goodness with new maps, new weapons, new skills and also a brand new difficulty mode for the single-player campaign.”
The developer failed to go into detail about this additional difficulty mode, but promised to release “more information on it as in-game elements near completion.”
The Last of Us Season Pass will set you back $19.99 and includes access to three pieces of content. The first, Abandoned Territories, released last October and added four new maps to the game’s multiplayer component. While the second, Left Behind, was made available earlier this month and expanded the game’s single-player campaign.
“Left Behind adds to and continues that level of quality, giving us a glimpse into a moment in time for two characters that’s both engaging and gratifying,” Eric wrote in our Left Behind DLC reveiw. You can read the full review here.
