Nate Wells, lead artist on The Last of Us, has left Naughty Dog and joined The Unfinished Swan developer Giant Sparrow, the developer confirmed on Twitter.
Wells joined Naughty Dog in 2012 after leaving Irrational Games, where he spent 13 years and most recently served as art director for Bioshock Infinite. According to Wells’ tweet, he left Naughty Dog to join Giant Sparrow on April 3.
Hmmm….seem to be some threads here. Yes, I joined the wild, wacky, and ultimately brilliant folks at #GiantSparrow on April 3rd.

Giant Sparrow is currently under a three-game contract with Sony Computer Entertainment, with the first title being The Unfinished Swan released in 2012.
Wells marks the third high-profile departure from Naughty Dog in the last two months. Uncharted series creative director Amy Hennig left in early March, and has since joined Visceral Games to work on their unannounced Star Wars project. While Uncharted PS4 game director Justin Richmond also left in March to join Riot Games.
Naughty Dog has previously stated that Uncharted PS4‘s development would not be affected by these departures.
