The Last Of Us

Romance might not be what you think of when you think The Last of Us Part II and all of its fungus-infected zombie monsters, but this didn’t stop developer Naughty Dog from making some Valentine’s for it anyway.

Continuing Naughty Dog’s annual tradition, there are four The Last of Us Part II-themed Valentine’s Day cards, designed by one of the game’s character concept artists, Alexandria Neonakis. The four images can be seen below, with printable versions (PDF) linked in the developer blog post.

While these romantic messages are cute, they won’t be curbing our fix for new information on The Last of Us Part II. The developer showed off a scene from the game’s story during last year’s Paris Games Week, in which fans were exposed to a variety of new series characters. It was an interesting trailer, but it gave us more questions than it answered, and we have still yet to see any gameplay from the title. Ideally, our first look at the action of The Last of Us Part II will be early this summer on Sony’s stage at E3 2018.

The Last of Us Part II does not yet have a release date for its PS4-exclusive launch. While many are hoping the game will manage to make the tail end of 2018, recent comments from developers suggest that the game won’t be out until early 2019 or later. According to game director Neil Druckmann, development was only 50 to 60 percent of the way done by early December.

Nick didn’t start gaming until mid-2006. Once his parents finally allowed a console into the house, it was all uphill from there. Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
