The Last Story Limited Edition Art Book Is Huge, For Launch Copies Only

If you’re a Nintendo Wii owner and a JRPG fan, you’re not going to be happy if you forget to pick up Hironobu Sakaguchi‘s The Last Story when it launches on July 10, 2012. Aside from XSEED publishing a limited number of copies in North America, every new “launch” copy is also coming packed-in with a large, intricate art book as a free bonus.

That’s right—as you can see in the photo below, the book is wider and taller than the actual game case and clocks in at 44-pages of concept drawings and official artwork. It even comes in a special outer casing to protect everything, so you’ll get that “new game smell” sealed up some in exquisite-looking packaging.

Of course, it’s not nearly as impressive looking as the European-exclusive limited edition, which includes a steel-book case, soundtrack disc, CD artwork collection, and its own 4-page art book. But still, a free bonus incentive for picking up a new copy of The Last Story isn’t anything to turn up your nose against.
