If you haven’t gotten your copy of The Last Story for the Nintendo Wii and you don’t know why, don’t worry—it’ll be coming to your doorstep eventually. According to GameStop, the official release date has been moved from August 14th to August 17th, due to various unspecified production issues with getting retail copies out to stores.

GameStop confirmed with The Verge that the new release date was changed by developer Mistwalker, but we can only hope that’s due to unexpected demand for the game:

A representative for North American publisher Xseed marked August 14th as the game’s ship date, not release date.

“While the ship date was in fact August 14th, a lot of stores will be receiving the game on the 15th, 16th, and 17th depending on shipping logistics,” said the representative.

Everyone who ordered the North American release on Amazon could potentially be in for a much longer wait, as the online retailer also stated that shipping copies would take an extra seven days to three weeks.

Three weeks? That must be for everyone who ordered the game internationally. Still, that seems a bit unreasonable. Most of the time, I can get Donnie Yen movies shipped from China in less than a week.
