The MP5 makes its return to Counter-Strike in the latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update.

The popular weapon has appeared in previous versions of the game, but was replaced in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive by the MP7. Today’s update brings the gun back in Offline and in Official Casual and Deathmatch servers as an alternative to the MP7.

“Often imitated but never equaled, the iconic MP5 is perhaps the most versatile and popular SMG in the world,” Valve explains. “This SD variant comes equipped with an integrated silencer and features higher movement speed at the cost of some damage and accuracy on the move.”

Today’s update also includes changes to matchmaking, networking, the Horizon Case, and the recently introduced Panorama UI. Read the full patch notes here.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is available now on PC.
