The next Halo game might steer the series in an entirely new direction: virtual reality.

It seems that 343 Industries is hiring for a few new positions, and as the team describes on the advertisement on LinkedIn, the company is specifically looking for a creative director to head up a new VR Halo game.

“343 Industries is looking for a Creative Director to join us in delivering an all new VR experience in the Halo universe,” the post reads. “Halo is known for its epic sci-fi worlds, its transmedia storytelling, and its heroic gameplay—VR brings the potential for a new level of immersion in our universe.”

The post adds that the person who takes this position should be “inspired by the idea of bringing Halo to life in a whole new way.”

Very little has been revealed about the Halo series’ future. While 343 Industries has made a few comments on the future of its games, including making a statement about adding splitscreen to future games and shooting down a rumor about loot boxes, leading us to believe that Halo 6 is probably in the works, the company has yet to actually confirm anything. On the other hand, that long-forgotten Halo TV show might finally be moving forward.
