The Order 1886

The announcement trailer for SCE Santa Monica and Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886—debuted during Sony’s E3 2013 press conference—teases an action game set in an alternate history 19th century London.

In the teaser (embedded below), members of The Order—the commander of which is named “Galahad,” hinting that the title might borrow from Arthurian mythology—fight fog-obscured supernatural entities that leap about like werewolves.

The title is being developed by God of War developers Sony Santa Monica Studio and Ready at Dawn, who worked on the console and handheld installments of God of War respectively.

The Order 1886 will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4. No specific release date or release window has been given. I think it’s safe to assume The Order won’t make the fourth iteration of PlayStation’s launch window, though.
