A retailer may have just leaked the release date of Red Dead Redemption 2.
The U.K. store Base.com has a pre-order listing for the game up, and the page proclaims that the game is “due for release” on September 26th.
While it’s obviously not definitive proof, this release date is actually pretty plausible. It falls in line with Rockstar’s “fall 2017” window, and the 26th is a Tuesday, the most common day of the week for major game launches. On top of that, Base.com lists broader release windows for other games without a known release date, so the fact that this one has a specific date is noteworthy for the site.
Rockstar hasn’t said very much about Red Dead Redemption 2. At the moment, the only official material we have to go on is the first trailer, some vague comments from Rockstar’s parent company, and a whole lot of compelling fan theories. Regardless of whether or not the September 26th release date is exact, though, it can’t be too far off. Red Dead Redemption 2 is scheduled to arrive this fall on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
