In case you missed the memo, the Wii U will be launching in the US on November 18th—a little more than two weeks from today. That means Nintendo doesn’t have much time left to get the word out to the masses, and that means it’s time to kick off a major marketing campaign.
That started today with the release of the new consoles first television ad, a one-minute spot that features a diverse sets of gamers playing various Wii U launch titles in a series of brightly colored cube rooms accompanied by a jaunty dubstep soundtrack.
The ad also features what will presumably be the Wii U’s tagline, “How U Will Play Next.” For my money, it’s not nearly as catchy as “Wii Would Like to Play,” but I’m no marketing exec.
