Tomasz Gop, senior producer for The Witcher 2 and former CD Projekt RED developer, has unveiled the name and details on his newest project. Formerly known only as “Project RPG” to the public, Gop updated his LinkedIn profile with information about Lords of the Fallen, complete with a description and synopsis of the upcoming title.

NeoGAF member Labadal spotted the update earlier this weekend and reposted his findings, which are currently still viewable on Gop’s LinkedIn profile:

Action-RPG title set within a medieval fantasy world ruled by a Fallen God. Fighting against the formidable Lords and Generals that command his demonic army is one of game’s strongest features. LORDS of the FALLEN rewards skill and persistence among hardcore Action-RPG fans; it presents players with great challenges followed by greater rewards and satisfaction. The story plot and twists allow approaching the conflict between humans and demons from various perspectives. (More info later this year.)

According to his profile, Lords of the Fallen has been in development since September 2011, and has been previously stated to borrow combat elements from Batman: Arkham City, Dark Souls, and Kingdoms of Amalur.

Lords of the Fallen was previously reported as a joint development project between Deck13 and City Interactive, and aims to launch for PC, Xbox and PS3 in 2013. Plot details are spare, but the game is known to be set 1000 years after the death of “God”, who split the world in two with his/her/its body—as seen in the teaser image above.
