CD Projekt Red has offered an update on its previously promised PlayStation 4 Pro upgrade patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
According to community lead Marcin Momot, the update is still “very much in development,” but various bugs have delayed its completion. Momot added that the team still needs more time to finish the update and asked for fans’ patience.
.@witchergame PS4 Pro HDR patch is still very much in development. Due to the fact that we’ve discovered some additional bugs along the way, we need more time to finish it. We don’t want to compromise the quality of the update, so we would like to ask you for a bit more patience.

Following this, Momot responded to a fan on Twitter confirming that the PlayStation 4 Pro patch will also include HDR support.
Xbox One X owners have been enjoying an upgraded experience since last year with two game modes that offer 4K at 30 FPS using dynamic resolution or 1080p with a 60 FPS target.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
