The Witcher: Battle Arena is a MOBA coming to iOS, Android, and Windows Phone ‘soon’

The Witcher: Battle Arena, a multiplayer online battle arena spinoff of CD Projekt Red’s single-player console and PC series, is coming to iOS, Android, and Window Phone “soon,” the developer announced today.

According to MOBA’s official website, Battle Arena’s in-game content is unlockable by free, though it can be unlocked faster by purchasing it “for a reasonable price.”

“Our system is honest, well balanced and doesn’t keep you playing for ages to unlock something,” reads the website.

At least eight playable characters will be available to choose from across 3-on 3 online and solo offline modes. Said characters include Eithne of Brokilon, Philippa Eilhart, The Golem, Iorveth, and more. Action takes place in a famous arena within the Nilfgaardian Empire, in which both teams vie for control of conquest points to win while contending with the usual crop of MOBA elements.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, meanwhile, launches on Windows PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year, on February 24, 2015.
