The Witcher Netflix series is still a ways out, but the finale is already coming together.

In a recent post on Twitter, showrunner Lauren Hissrich teased that she was done with, or in the midst of, writing the show’s first-season finale.

The next step on the series’ path to completion will be filming, but that can’t be done without a cast. Jury is still out on who will take the role of Geralt, but Superman actor Henry Cavill has expressed interest in the character. Whether or not anything will come of that remains to be seen.

The first season of the Netflix Witcher series does not have a release date, but Hissrich has speculated that it will land sometime in 2020. Despite the long wait, the first season will be notably short, spanning only eight episodes.

Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
