The World Ends With You ‘Solo Remix’ Launches Tomorrow, Costs $18

Well, that new The World Ends With You title has been announced for the iPhone and iPad. Dubbed the “Solo Remix” of the original game, the mobile version adds a lot of new content for a high price.
Now that the countdown is officially over, Square Enix’s The World Ends With You: Solo Remix officially hits the App Store tomorrow, and carries an expensive $18 price tag for the iPhone version—quite pricey, indeed.
According to the game’s website, the combat has been completely re-modified to use only a single touchscreen, with touch-gestures controlling your “Psych” powers much like the Nintendo DS did with the system’s stylus.
Aside from the single-screen retrofit, TWEWY Solo Remix also includes:
- “Retina Display” graphics
- Full 60-song soundtrack
- Card-based mini-games to boost Fusion attacks
- New Twitter features
If you want to upgrade to the iPad version, it’ll cost a little bit more at 20 bucks a pop. But at that price, you have to wonder who’s going to dish out that much money it—certainly not anyone who already owns it on the DS, right?
