THE BUZZ: Square-Enix has confirmed that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy will be coming to Europe and the U.S. this Summer on 3DS.

The game pits the gods Chaos and Cosmos against one another, and you must help by tapping the screen to music.

The game features 70 themes from 25 years of Final Fantasy history. Tapping the screen correctly will defeat enemies and allow you to continue. Various Final Fantasy characters will appear in the game including XIII’s Lightning and VII’s Cloud Strife.

EGM’s TAKE: Well what can you say about this game? If you’re a fan of Elite Beat Agents then you will probably want to get on this. However, this appears to be one for only the hardcore Final Fantasy fan, and while other 3DS gamers might enjoy the gameplay, the main selling point will likely be lost on them.
