It hasn’t been long since Destiny 2‘s first Faction Rally ended, which had players pledge their allegiance to one of three teams for a friendly competition. The next season of the event is now live, and while players are welcome to pick their teams, the most important task is to take advantage of a new exploit that can offer oodles of faction tokens.

The new exploit involves a Lost Sector in the European Dead Zone and works similarly to the first Faction Rally’s farming trick. Previously, players learned a Lost Sector on Io during the first team rally held crates that could be continually destroyed to earn extra tokens. Bungie did eventually remove the option, but moving into this new season, it seems they overlooked something. For a visual guide on the new token farming method, YouTuber xHoundishx posted a short run, seen below.

Guardians must simply head to the Winding Cove area of EDZ by the water, find the Lost Sector toward the right of the cove, and enter. Once inside, the player can either clear out the entire room or focus on the loot boss, but regardless, once the boss is defeated the locked chest will open. After opening the chest, an exit above the loot can be used to leave the area, but once the words “Winding Cove” appear on screen, Guardians should head back to the chest, which can now be opened again. Rinse and repeat.

The YouTuber stated they received 140 tokens after repeating the back-and-forth exit run for 20 minutes, which means reaching the 400 token max for the latest Faction Rally can be done with little determination. Of course, Bungie should be flagged over this new exploit soon, so Guardians hoping to farm the items easily should use the method as soon as possible.

The last hotfix update for the game included changes to faction token distribution, which has made the new three token drop from Lost Sector loot possible. Of course, participating in Public Events, Adventures, and other in-game events will offer the tokens in a more legitimate way, but the latest rally only runs from November 7th to 13th.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

There’s already a new way to farm Destiny 2’s Faction Rally tokens

The new Faction Rally exploit makes it easy for Guardians to earn as many tokens as possible, but use it while it lasts.
