Star Wars Battlefront

The EA and Origin Access programs have added a few new titles to their libraries, plus the opportunity to play Star Wars Battlefront II and Need for Speed: Payback before they launch.

Battlefront II and Payback are both the latest additions to EA and Origin Access’ Play First Trial program. According to a recent announcement, players will have access to Payback for “a full ten hours” prior to the game’s official launch on November 10th. Battlefront II will also give Access members prerelease play-time before it launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 17th, though EA did not specify the amount of hours Battlefront II‘s Play First Trial will last.

Both Payback and Battlefront II offer special editions with three days of early access, but these Play First Trials will come before those already early dates. Payback‘s trial goes live on November 2nd, while Battlefront II‘s arrives November 9th.

Members of EA Access will also get a Play First Trial of The Sims 4 prior to its November 17th release on Xbox One.

In addition to these new Play First Trials, two big releases have been added to EA and/or Origin Access. Mass Effect: Andromeda will join both services, while Dead Space 3—which was already available through Origin Access—will be added to EA Access.

While EA didn’t specify any release dates, expect these titles to all reach their respective services sometime between October and December 2017.

Spit white-hot fanboy hate at him, trash talk his Gold II rank on Rocket League, or maybe just send him a cordial hello on Twitter @gogogoroff.

There’s now a way to play Star Wars Battlefront II even earlier

New EA and Origin Access announcements mean good news for fans of a galaxy far, far away.
