A collection of spectator mode screenshots taken during this summer’s EA Play event show off Battlefield 1 at its very best.
The images depict the multiplayer map St. Quentin’s Scar which is a World War I battlefield located in France. The map, where tall windmills and dilapidated structures provide targets for Battlefield’s trademark destruction, was playable in both Domination and Conquest game modes during the event.
The screenshots were taken and posted to Imgur by user berdu, who was invited to the EA Play event by DICE after building a reputation for capturing gorgeous Battlefield screens in the series’ prior games.
St. Quentin’s Scar is also the map available in the game’s trademark closed alpha, which only a small handful of players were recently allowed into. Despite strict privacy agreements, a lot of information has leaked out of the alpha, including more screenshots and a large collection of data-mined information.
Battlefield 1 is slated to launch October 21st on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Keep an eye out for the game’s upcoming open beta.
