Developer Eidos Montreal today released an expanded version of the Thief story trailer shown during Spike’s VGX awards that contains new gameplay footage.

The first half of the trailer (embedded below) is the previously seen, narrative-focused story content,, but the second half contains quick shots of gameplay, including protagonist Garrett pickpocketing, lock-picking, letting loose arrows, creepin’ about shadows, and sliding down the rooftops of The City.

Publisher Square Enix also released new details about the Thief companion app for mobile devices, which was announced during VGX. The app, created “in partnership with IGN,” will serve as the game’s official wiki and contain artwork and interactive maps. Players who purchase the app, which is will be available for $2.99 on iOS and Android devices when Thief launches, will also get digital copies of the first two comics from Dark Horse’s Thief tie-in series.

Thief launches on PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 February 25, 2014 in North America.
