Third Valiant Hearts: The Great War dev diary highlights historical research efforts

Posted on June 19, 2014 AT 10:25am

In the third developer diary for Valiant Hearts: The Great War’s, the team at Ubisoft recounts their research efforts to install historical facts about World War I into the game.

“The Ubisoft team really wanted a realistic game, steeped in history, that can call on the player’s feelings around these lives in World War 1,” historian Alexandre Lafon says in the video.

“That’s why, in the game, we have what we call historical facts,” international brand manager Guillaume Cerda adds. “When you are playing the game, sometimes you’ll have an info dedicated to something you did in the game [that relates to an historical event].”

Valiant Hearts: The Great War launches Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360’s respective digital platforms next week—June 24 for PlayStation consoles, June 25 for the rest.
