A new trailer has arrived for Mass Effect: Andromeda, this one showing off the game’s multiplayer.
Uploaded by BioWare, this video is the first real look we’ve gotten at Andromeda‘s multiplayer. As the multiplayer beta for the game was cancelled, we haven’t heard or seen much regarding the mode outside of “it’s similar to Mass Effect 3‘s.”
Thanks to this video, however, we now know many things. First, there will be over 25 characters to choose from, including aliens from both the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies. No weapon restrictions will be placed on any character, so you can play how you want to play.
A balanced team appears to be key to success in the game, and with XP and rewards shared between teammates, you won’t have to worry about playing a character that doesn’t specialize in kills.
Five multiplayer maps are shown in the trailer, with gameplay being shown from Sandstorm—a deserted Milky Way-style base on a desert planet.
Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC March 21st.
