Developer CD Projekt Red is on the docket for E3 2018, which means fans should finally get to see Cyberpunk 2077 early this summer.
E3 2018’s official website features a list of the developers and publishers currently confirmed to have a presence at the show. The full list of game creators making the show can be viewed by going to the Attending section on the top bar, and then clicking on Participating Companies, where fans will find the listing for developer CD Projekt Red.
Previous reports claimed that CD Projekt RED’s elusive Cyberpunk 2077 would be playable at E3 2018, and if the developer is taking time off working on the game to come to the event, there must be something to show. Over five years since the game’s original announcement, the developer has revealed almost nothing about the title. Assuming CD Projekt RED doesn’t have some other surprise up its sleeve, fans should expect to finally see Cyberpunk 2077 in action this June.
From what little we currently know, Cyberpunk 2077 is a reimagining of the classic pen-and-paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020, set in the original game’s Night City. Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a map four times bigger than that of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (holy hell), boast a class-based progression system, and support some form of multiplayer functionality.
Fans will ideally learn new details on these features and more when E3 2018 commmences on June 12th. Gamer Passes, which allow the general public to attend, are now available on the event’s website, but supplies are limited.
